Saving, drafts and versions
Changes in the Quotes tab stay on the page until you save them. Unsaved changes are kept in your browser as a draft.
Saving and discarding
- Save, or
Ctrl+S(⌘+Son macOS), stores every change at once: deliverables, lines, approvals and billing plans. The quote reloads afterwards. - Undo the changes discards every change since the last save, after you confirm.
- Refresh reloads the quote from the server. Unsaved changes are discarded, after you confirm.
When a required field is empty, the save stops and shows what is missing. See Build a quote.
Drafts
If you leave the estimate with unsaved changes, they are kept in this browser as a draft. The next time you open the quote, the page offers to restore them. Choosing No discards them.
If the estimate was saved since the draft was made, the restored rows replace the newer values. Rows that no longer exist are skipped, and the page says how many.
Restored changes are not saved yet. Click Save to keep them.
When the estimate changes elsewhere
If the estimate changes somewhere else while the quote is open, for example its rates, margins or version, the page tells you. Save or undo your changes, and the quote reloads with the new values.
Older versions
When the estimate has more than one version, the version buttons open the older ones. An older version is read-only. Back to the latest returns to the current version.
Unsaved changes stay in this browser as a draft while you look at an older version, and are offered again when you come back to the latest one.
